Sri Lankan Airlines has requested all passengers who expect to leave for Europe to contact them by calling 1979 six hours prior to their flights.
In a release the Sri Lankan Airlines has said that normal flights are maintained to Europe despite the possibility of ash clouds created due to the eruption of a volcano in Iceland spreading to Europe. The flights to London, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome and Milano are expected to takeoff as usual. The Sri Lankan Airlines said that the situation created due to the ash clouds is being constantly monitored. Accordingly the Sri Lanka Airlines has informed the passengers to Europe to obtain necessary information six hours prior to their flight by calling 1979.
