United Nations and certain Western countries have helped LTTE leaders to flee the country.
KP alias Kumaran Padmanadan has made this revelation to the Indian media. In an interview with the Indian media KP alias Kumaran Padmanadan has said that the UN and certain Western Countries attempted to help LTTE leaders to flee the country from sea. In a special interview with the Indian media he said that the UN and certain Western Countries were even ready during May 2009 to send a ship for their escape. He said that even though he also supported the LTTE to wage war it has not provided any benefits to the Tamil population. Meanwhile KP has said that former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by the LTTE and it was committed due to a call made by the DMK party. KP who was a former chief of the International wing of the LTTE and an arms procurer is currently in the custody of the security forces.
