Officials who are to enter into state service join in appraising the world about the prevailing situation in Sri Lanka.
Action has already been initiated to create a proper coordination between the External Affairs Ministry and the Ambassadors to respond to false allegations made against Sri Lanka by the Tamil Diaspora. A special meeting was held between the newly appointed diplomats and the Consul General yesterday. Discussions centred at length on the Darusman Report and the false allegations made by the Diaspora. Attention was diverted to improving Sri Lanka’s image by projecting the real situation prevailing in the country through the international media. Ministers Athauda Seneviratne and Susil Premajayantha and Deputy Minister Vinayagamurthy Muralitharan were present at this meeting.
