Carpeting of roads in Panduwasnuwara begins

Minister Basil Rajapaksa has emphasized that with the end of terrorism, the people not only received freedom but also the land and sea belt which was under the terrorists.

 

The Minister said that the President has granted an opportunity to all the people to travel to any part of the country without fear and suspicion. He reminded that not only the sea belt but one third of the land which were under the administration of the LTTE had been returned to the nation.

The Minster was speaking at the launch of the work to carpet roads in Panduwasnuwara. Initially 28 kilometers from Moonamaldeniya to Katupota in Panduwasnuwara will be carpeted. The expected expenditure is 190 million rupees. North Western Chief Minister Athula Wijesinghe and Deputy Minister Indika Bandara were among those present.
