May 31, 2011 9:06:59 PM - thesundayleader.lk

The UNP has called on former LTTE international wing head and chief arms procurer, Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP to apologize for the killings carried out by the LTTE in the country.

UNP National Organizer and parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake has told the media that KP had apologized to India for the assassination of its political leaders during a media interview recently.

Karunanayake has maintained that while KP’s move to apologize to India was appreciated, he had to apologize for the killings in Sri Lanka as well.

The parliamentarians has queried as to why KP could not apologize for the killings in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the parliamentary select committee to probe allegations against KP requested by the UNP from the Speaker is yet to be appointed.
