A third suspect has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for his role in the death of a man discovered in his burning Aiken County home.
The Aiken Standard reports 24-year-old Travonte Williams of Anderson was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
Authorities say Williams and two other men attacked 61-year-old George Woltz Jr. at his home in December 2008. The men took about $200 from Woltz' pockets and put his body in a closet.
Prosecutors say the men poured an accelerant throughout the house, stole a car and electronics from another home, then returned to Woltz's house and set it on fire.
Woltz's roommate, Keith Allen Fitzgerald, and James Alston were sentenced to 35 years each in prison after pleading guilty to murder.
