Someone who bought a lottery ticket in Boiling Springs is sitting on a $1 million winner.
The S.C. Education Lottery announced Wednesday that someone playing the new Mega Millions game bought a ticket worth $250,000, along with the "Megaplier" option that turned it into $1 million.
The ticket was purchased at Raceway #6754 on Boiling Springs Road. The ticket matched all five numbers in the multistate game's Tuesday drawing.
The jackpot in the game was $105 million. For the April 16 drawing, it has grown to $122 million.
Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize at a lottery claims center in Columbia, Greenville or Mt. Pleasant.
