External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris has told parliament today that the discussion with the Indian government members during his recent visit to India was not based on the Darusman Report.
Peiris had made this comment in response to a question posed by JVP parliamentary group leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the Minister’s recent visit to India.
According to Peiris the Darusman Report was not paid much attention as it was not an official UN report.
The Minister had said the discussion with the Indian officials was based on the current situation in the country and the post conflict development programmes.
