Greer man accused in series of equipment thefts

Authorities have arrested a Greer man who is believed to be involved in a series of heavy equipment and utility trailer thefts.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports that 44-year-old David Christopher Hudgens was arrested at his home Wednesday by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, one day after investigators asked for the public's help. Hudgens is can charged with receiving stolen goods and obtaining property under false pretenses.
Master Deputy Tony Ivey said investigators still need people who bought a trailer from Hudgens to contact authorities. Ivey said individuals who have purchased trailers from Hudgens will not be in trouble with law enforcement.
