Huge Losses At Govt. Enterprises – ‘Srilankan’, CPC & SLEB Top The List

According to a Central Bank report a large number of state enterprises have incurred massive losses during 2009. According to this report the state enterprise that has incurred the highest loss is the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. Its loss for 2009 is Rs.12.3 billion states the Central Bank. The state institute that has incurred the next highest loss is Srilankan Air Lines which has incurred a loss of Rs. 12.2 billion for the year 2009. The third is Sri Lanka electricity Board with a loss of Rs.7 billion.
