Indo Sri Lanka bilateral talks are continuing further solidifying the close friendly relations. Addressing the weekly Cabinet news briefing, Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said a high level Indian delegation will be arriving in Sri Lanka for such talks.
The Minister said Sri Lanka’s relations with India are very cordial and friendly. Although the two countries maintain their identities, they are stakeholders of the Nonaligned Movement have many similarities and implement different programmes politically. When the two countries implement the political programmes, the two nations have to meet frequently to discuss problems that surfaced. It is because of the friendly relations that it is possible to invite India to Sri Lanka and also vice versa when problems surface. The Minister emphasized that all these discussions are taking place on this basis.
