Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jeyaram Jayalalitha is to discuss several issues related to Sri Lanka with Indian Premier Manmohan Singh today.
The Indian media today reported that Jayalalitha is to visit New Delhi on a two day official visit.
She is expected to discuss issues related to the Tamil community in Sri Lanka as well as incidents related to Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan waters.
The Chief Minister had raised the issue about the Indian fishermen in writing with Singh.
Jayalalitha’s visit to New Delhi comes after the Tamil Nadu Assembly last week adopted a motion to impose economic sanctions on Sri Lankan against the alleged war crimes committed by the country during the war.
