The Health Ministry has emphasized that it is the responsibility of the people to clean the locations after the conduct of Dansalas for Poson.
Many Dansalas will be held in several parts of the country to mark the Poson festival. The Health Ministry calls on the people to clean places after the holding of Dansalas. It emphasises that the discarded plastic cups, shopping bags, polythene and lunch boxes can become breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Public Health Inspectors have been deployed to examine the quality of food served at Dansalas within the sacred areas.
