Jun 16, 2011 10:18:05 AM - thesundayleader.lk

The UNP has said the government was contradicting itself by deciding to back the second term of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

UNP National Organizer, parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake has told a press conference that the government after accusing Ki-moon of being a war monger following the release of the UN advisory panel report, has now extended support to his re-election.

According to Karunanayake, the government after accusing the UN Secretary General of being an LTTE agent trying to tarnish the country’s image has now announced its decision to support Ki-moon’s re-election.
