Firefighter treated after Oak Grove home fire

An early morning fire in the Oak Grove Community of Lexington County damaged a home and sent one firefighter to an area hospital.
The blaze was heavily involved when they arrived, firefighters say, and damaged the garage area of the home at 234 Maple Road at about 3 a.m.
A Lexington County firefighter was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for smoke inhalation and released.
The homeowner was not at home at the time of the fire, which was reported by a passerby and thought to be an accident. Damages are estimated at $60,000.
