A third suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 45-year-old man who was beaten at his Jakes Landing Road home June 26.
Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kenneth Darrell Walters, 26, of Washington Street, Columbia, Monday afternoon, accusing him of playing a part in the death of Timothy Edward Tice, 45, during a robbery.
Already arrested in the case are Margaret Marie Driggers, 26, of Corbett Street, Columbia, and Demetriss Alshawn Glenn, 28, of Dudley Road, West Columbia. Both are charged with murder, and Driggers is charged with misprision of a felony, the sheriff’s department said.
Warrants state that the three suspects went to Tice’s address the morning of June 26 and entered the home, where they struggled with Tice. The warrants acuse one of the trio of hitting Tice on the head repeatedly and fatally with an Arbor Mist wine bottle.
All three suspects are being held at the Lexington County Detention Center awaiting bond hearings in Circuit Court.
