Insurance cover for Deyata Kirula visitors

An Insurance Cover is being provided to consolidate the security of visitors of the Deyata Kirula Exhibition. Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitya said that the National Insurance Trust has come forward to give 500 million rupees in this respect.

The National Insurance Trust took the initiative of providing an Insurance Cover of this nature for the 2010 Deyata Kirula Exhibition. Chairman of the Insurance Trust Senaka Abeygunasekera handed over the Insurance Deed related to the Exhibition to Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya. Thereafter giving views to the media, the Minister said the Insurance Policy is effective from today itself.

The Minister said that the insurance cover is massive strength for the security of the visitors to the exhibition. He expressed his gratitude to the National Insurance Trust for extending support.

In the meantime construction work on development projects in the Anuradhapura District undertaken in parallel to the 2012 Deyata Kirula Exhibition commenced yesterday. Our Correspondents reported that work on 62 development projects were started yesterday.
