Sri Lanka exports have recorded a growth of 42 percent in the first five months of this year.
The revenue is forecast to grow 25 percent to 10 billion US dollar. The Export Development Board said Sri Lanka had earned 4.8 billion US dollars in the period under review.
According to Central Bank statistics, in the first four months exports grew 50.2 percent to 3.4 billion US dollars, with apparel exports surging. The Export Development Board revealed that attention was being focused on promoting seven sectors.
