President Rajapaksa declares open the Ayurvedha Expo 2011 exhibition.
The exhibition depicts the growth in Sri Lanka’s Ayurvedha and Indigenous Health Security System. The exhibition is organized for the 3rd occasion. The three day mega exhibition and symposium showcases and promotes Ayurvedhic products and services. A large number of overseas and local exhibitors are participating. India, Canada, Singapore, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Germany and South Africa are participating.
The exhibition is a joint effort by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and the Export Development Board in association with several state institutions. President Rajapaksa presented awards to many institutions which had worked for the wellbeing of the indigenous medical sector. Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne expressed his views on this occasion.
Minister Salinda Dissanayake and Deputy Minister Jayaratne Herath were among the other speakers. Deputy Minister Pandu Bandaranayake was among those present. Independent Television Network and Lakhanda Radio are the electronic media sponsors of the exhibition which will draw to a close on Sunday. It is being held at the BMICH.
