Logos Hope, the ship with the world’s largest Floating Book Fair has entered the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Harbour in Hambantota. It is a large mobile library which provides knowledge by touring various countries in the world. The vessel Logos Hope was officially declared open to the public this afternoon. It will be at the harbour until Thursday. The public are also afforded the opportunity of purchasing books. It offers an expanded selection of 5000 books at affordable prices covering a range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, the arts, medicine, dictionaries, languages and philosophy. With around 45 different nationalities represented on board, the Logos Hope community is regarded as a genuine expression of international goodwill and understanding. An opportunity is afforded for school children to enter the ship free of charge. The ship is 118 meters long and its depth is six meters. It is the third international ship to enter the Hambantota harbour.
