Corruption Watch has called on the government to reveal its plans on reviving 54 loss making state institutions.
Head of Corruption Watch, UNP Western Provincial Councilor Shiral Lakthileka has called on Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera to explain the government’s plan on reviving these institutions that have incurred losses for the past three years.
He has said the government should take responsibility for the loss making of the institutions.
Lakthileka has said that some of the main loss making state institutions includes the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, the Fertilizer Corporation, SriLankan Airlines, the Paddy Board and the Ceylon Electricity Board.
He has said these institutions have been affected by the mismanagement of the government.
