Wayne Lamar Chicken Wing Mobley, 21, was arrested at a West Columbia motel Thursday morning, one day after the Richland County Sheriffs Department asked for the publics help in finding a man they described as armed and extremely dangerous.
Hes got the community scared, Richland County Sheriffs Deputy Curtis Wilson said. Hes violent.
Mobley, out on bond after being charged in September with two counts of murder as well as armed robbery and trafficking cocaine, was wanted in the Monday shooting death of Bobby Edwards, Jr.
Edwards was shot several times outside a house on Winterwood Road, off Monticello Road in North Columbia. Witnesses provided information that led authorities to identify Mobley as the prime suspect.
Mobley was tracked down to the Delta Motel on the 2400 block of U.S. 1/Augusta Highway and arrested Thursday morning.
