"American Idol" scouts are traveling to North Charleston to see if the country's next aspiring pop star is a South Carolinian.
Talent scouts will be holding auditions Friday at the North Charleston Coliseum for the upcoming 11th season of the popular show.
Wristbands were distributed to candidates Wednesday and Thursday during pre-registration. No hopefuls are being allowed to camp out at the coliseum.
This is the second time auditions have been held in the area. The first time was for Season 7.
Hopefuls belted it out earlier this month at tryouts in North Carolina. Raleigh's Clay Aiken was a runner-up in the 2003 season of American Idol. Garner's Scotty McCreery captured the 2011 title in May.
