There are many special features of this Expressway when compared with other roads in the country.
A set of regulations special to this highway will be in force. Accordingly there are vehicles which could and could not operate on this road. Pedestrians are totally banned from using this road. There are minimum and maximum speed limits which will be enforced. Separate Police Units are due to be setup for the control of vehicles.
A special fee will be levied for using this road. Plans are being drawn up to charge a fee ranging from 250 to 300 rupees based on the distance of travel. Ticketing counters will be established at the entrance and exit points of the Expressway. These will be operative 24 hours of the day. However the Road Development Authority has plans to make the public aware of the use of the Expressway within the next few days.
