The mailing of admission cards of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination has begun. Commissioner General for Examinations Anura Edirisinghe said they decided to dispatch the admission cards to candidates on time so that any shortcomings could be rectified Mr. Edirisinghe said that school principals have been asked to distribute the admission cards among children as soon as they are received so that any faults can be detected. He said that any such faults can be directed to the Director of the Education Division of the school. Thereafter he will visit the Examinations Department and make the necessary rectifications. As such there will be no need for a candidate, a parent, a teacher or a principal to visit the Examinations Department. If there are amendments to be made by private candidates, they could visit the department or intimate through the contact number or fax number which is to be published in the newspapers. The Examination Chief emphasized that no authority has been granted to any principal or candidate to make alterations in the admission cards.
