A $1 million winner was purchased in Chapin in the multistate Powerball lottery, but the lucky purchaser has not come forward.
The ticket was bought at the Kangaroo Express #476 at 1259 Chapin Road for the Wednesday drawing. The winning numbers were 38, 40, 41, 51 and 59.
The ticket matched all those numbers but not the Powerball number, 33. That alone was worth $200,000, but the addition of the $1 PowerPlay option multiplied the earnings to $1 million, the S.C. Education Lottery said.
Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize. For more information on claiming prizes, visit sceducationlottery.com
