Two suspects in unrelated armed robberies have been arrested, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.
Kelley Tyler, 21, was wanted on three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping and assault and battery. He was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Concord, N.C., by the department’s Fugitive Task Force with assistance from the Charlotte Police Department.
Tyler remains in North Carolina and is fighting extradition to Richland County, the department said.
Tyler is a suspect in a July 15 ATM holdup in which a customer using the Bank of America machine at 7373 Two North Road around 3 a.m. was ordered to withdraw cash by a man who thrust a gun in her chest. The robber also took the woman’s phone and car keys.
Later the same day, around 4:45 p.m., a victim using the Bank of America ATM at 2000 Clemson Road was ordered by a suspect with a gun to hand over money, wallet and car keys. A third incident took place around 8 p.m., when a third victim was deprived of cash, a debit card and car keys at the Bank of America ATM at 8810 Farrow Road.
