CEB Employees To Fall Sick On Wednesday

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have decided to continue with their protest campaign demanding the resolution of several long standing issues faced by them.

CEB employees have decided not to report to work on Wednesday (3) to protest against the failure of the authorities to address their salary issues.

The CEB employees are to report sick on Wednesday.

CEB employees have been continuously agitating demanding the authorities to pay their salary arrears for 10 months.

The employees have held protest campaigns outside CEB offices island wide with a massive protest that was held outside the head office inColombolast week.

A trade unionist has told the media that although the employees would report sick on Wednesday, emergency services will be maintained while there may be delays in repairs.
