A group of children who faced the tsunami in Japan meet First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
The group comprised 49 school children. They are in the island on a two-day visit. The First Lady who warmly welcomed the children also had a cordial discussion with them. The aim of the visit was to overcome the mental conditions the children are experiencing as a result of this natural disaster. Organizers said that Sri Lanka was selected for this purpose due to its beautiful and peaceful environment. The First Lady presented them with gifts. Present on the occasion was Japan’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Kunio Takahashi.
