7900 former LTTE cadres had already been rehabilitated. Commissioner General for Rehabilitation Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe said that more than 300 rehabilitated ex-combatants will be sitting the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination this month.
The Rehabilitation Chief said that these ex-combatants were re-integrated into society after successfully undergoing rehabilitation in the past two years. He revealed that 2799 former LTTE cadres are now being rehabilitated at seven Centres. They would be socialized in small groups in the future after their rehabilitation.
Major General Ranasinghe said that 302 rehabilitated ex-combatants were scheduled to sit the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination this month.
