Information has come to light that the media conspiracy against the Government is being funded by the Tamil Diaspora and terrorist sympathizers.

It has already been revealed that a media conspiracy has been mooted with the intention of enthusing locally the publicity carried out by terrorist loyal media, including Channel-4, against the motherland. Initially, conspirators are planning to launch a so called national newspaper daily and in during the weekend. The main objective of the media conspirators against the Government is to array the global community against Sri Lanka at the International Human Rights Sessions scheduled to be held in Geneva next month. The intention is to use this newspaper to build a situation unfavourable to the country through malicious propaganda against the President, the Government, the Defence Secretary and Chiefs of the Armed Forces.
It is reported that efforts are being made to solicit the support of journalists who are serving in national newspapers by offering lucrative salaries to achieve their ends. It is revealed that a group of journalists who had fled the country after going against the motherland in the past are said to be directly involved in it. A colossal sum had already been expended on the newspaper which is to be launched. Information has been received that these funds had been given by the Tamil Diaspora and tiger loyalists abroad who had worked against President Rajapaksa at the last Presidential polls. It is reported that comprehensive investigations are being carried out on the receipt of these funds and individuals behind it.
In the meantime, legal sources have confirmed that a legal issue had surfaced on the title of this newspaper. A paper under this title had already been launched earlier. Reports said that legal action was to be instituted by the owners of the earlier paper with this title.
