Justice Minister Rauf Hakeem says the Muslim community should be included in the process to seek solutions to the ethnic issue.
He observes that the non inclusion of Muslims in the process would result in the failure in finding a proper solution.
Hakeem made these comments during a meeting with a group of diplomats from the British High Commission inColombo.
The Minister highlighted the importance of providing a solution acceptable to all communities since the country has seen the end to a three decade long war.
According to Hakeem, while the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) represents the aspirations of a majority of the Tamil people, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) represents the interests of the Muslim community.
The SLMC should therefore be included in these discussions, he said.
