Man convicted of charges in Rock Hill death

A Rock Hill man has been convicted on several charges in the 2008 death of another man in York County.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported (http://bit.ly/nCzPcn ) that 21-year-old Christopher Mareem Poage was convicted on charges of kidnapping, burglary and criminal conspiracy.
Prosecutor Willy Thompson says the jury was unable to reach a decision Wednesday on charges of murder, armed robbery and possession of a knife during a violent crime.
The body of 56-year-old Tommie Mitchell was found in his home Aug 3, 2008. Officials say Mitchell had been dead for several days and they had trouble determining the cause of death.
Poage and 23-year-year-old Ernest Floyd Jackson II were arrested in Feb. 2009 on murder and other charges.
