A woman who drove the wrong way on I-26 shortly after midnight Sunday was killed when she struck oncoming vehicles, according to the S.C Highway Patrol.
Jennifer M. Lock, 28, of Columbia, was driving a 2002 Saturn eastbound in the westbound lane of I-26 at about 12:55 a.m. Sunday when she collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by Michelle Bouknight of Irmo, and a 2007 Mustang driven by Anthony Robinson, also of Irmo. The accident occurred near the Piney Grove Road exit.
Lock was entrapped in her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head and body trauma, according to Lexington County coroner Harry Harman.
Bouknight and Robinson were transported to area hospitals.
