The 2600th Sri Sambuddhatva Jayanthi book has been presented to United Nations Secretary General Ban ki-Moon. The book has been authored by a group of scholars who participated in the Special World Buddhist Congress of the United Nations held from the 16th to the 21st of May this year in New York. This meeting was organized to mark the 2600th Sambuddhatva Jayanthi. It was attended by scholars including members of the Maha Sangha of 18 Buddhist countries. Coordinator of the Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Committee of the United Nations and the compiler of the book the Ven. Ethkandawaka Saddhajeeva Thera presented the first copy of the book to the UN Secretary General.
