Lexington Richland 5 School Board member Kim Murphy and two allies are adding to their challenges to plans to fill in more than 700 feet of a stream for renovations at Chapin High.
Murphy, former teacher William Grant and homeowner Leisha Huffstetler are appealing the stormwater control plan adopted by school officials and approved by state environmental officials.
Its the third effort by Murphy to overturn the plan. Her challenges are delaying $45 million in improvements approved by voters in 2008 in a referendum.
