Ceylon Continental marked their presence at the 14th Culinary Art Exhibition at the BMICH from 29 July to 1 August, winning 11 medals in total with participation of 15 team members from the hotel.
At the event organised by the Chef’s Guild of Sri Lanka, 2 Gold medals, 5 silver medals, 4 Bronze medals were won by the Hotel’s most dynamic and talented staff in a variety of categories including those under Cocktails, Desserts, Cake Structures and Butter Sculptures. “Chef Guild was a platform to showcase the talents and skills” observed the participants, and added that it was the guidance, training and support given by their respective senior team at Ceylon Continental Hotel that enabled them to produce exceptional results. The participants also noted that there was stiff competition from other hotels in the Island, but their dedication, team work and talent had won them these medals, which was greatly appreciated by the management. Speaking further they noted “We look forward to double our medals tally at the next event in year 2013”.
