President Rajapaksa gives instructions to young entrepreneurs to identify the market and prepare their production plans.
The President gave these instructions during a discussion at Temple Trees with the Youth Entrepreneurship Council. Discussions are being held with every related sector before the preparation of the budget to seek views and proposals. Special attention was drawn to issues and proposals submitted by young entrepreneurs. The President announced that necessary plans will be drawn up for the resolution of problems that had surfaced in the granting of lands to local and foreign entrepreneurs. He said that action would be initiated to obtain the income which is lost by the Government due to actions of certain institutions.
The President advised officials to adopt the strategies needed for the implementation of provisions beneficial to the entrepreneurs and the Government through agreements such as CEPA. President’s Secretary Lalith Weeratunge and Finance Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera also aired their views. A memento was presented to the President.
