Deputy Director of the Department of Meteorology M.D. Dayananda has said that the prevailing weather situation will ease within the next two days.
The Deputy Director attributed the prevailing situation to the activation of the Southwestern monsoon. He said it was prevailing from last May, but was active on some occasions and sometimes inactive. The monsoonal situation will continue until the middle of next month. Mr. Dayananda said the Southwest monsoonal situation is now active, resulting in more rain. The rainy situation is expected to last for about two days.
