A man suspected in an automated teller machine robbery and kidnapping has been arrested, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.
Kennard Antonio Gallmon, 30, is charged with kidnapping, solicitation of a person using an ATM and shoplifting.
Deputies said Gallmon is the suspect in a Monday shoplifting call from the Dollar General at 103 William Harden Road, Pontiac. Around 1 p.m., the store called the department to report a man had taken a bottle of wine and drunk it in the store without paying for it.
The same afternoon, Gallmon is suspected of forcing a woman using an ATM at the Shell station at 9050 Frrow Road to give him cash, then forcing her to drive him around with threats of harming her with a gun.
Gallmon now is at the Alvin S. Glenn Dention Center.
