ITN has been highly acclaimed at the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) Achievers Awards 2011 for Industrial Excellence.

The Independent Television Network received the Bronze Award in the Service Sector at the Awards Festival organized in Colombo yesterday. ITN General Manager Aruna Wijesinghe accepted the Award. ITN was honoured with this Award for its valuable role in the electronic media. The ceremony was organized by the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries. The Golden Award in the Service Sector was presented to Mobitel (PVT) Ltd. while the Silver Award was presented to D. Samson and Sons (Pvt.) Ltd. The Golden Award in the Manufacturing Sector was won by Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. Hemas Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd. received the Silver Award while the Nestle Lanka PLC bagged the Bronze Award.
10 outstanding industrialists were also honoured. They were Ceylon Biscuits Ltd., CIC Agri Business (Pvt.) Ltd., Colombo Dockyard PLC, Hemas Manufacturing (Pvt.) Ltd., Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Co. Ltd., Mobitel (Pvt.) Ltd., Nestle Lanka PLC, Pussella Meat Products (Pvt.) Ltd., Union Chemicals Lanka PLC and Watawala Plantations PLC. A notable feature was the acclamation of many industrialists from Jaffna. Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabral joined the occasion as the Chief Guest.
