Buying the right electronics can be hard. Sometimes, it can be very hard.
Two Spartanburg women who thought they were buying a laptop computer for $250 in the parking lot of a gas station this week turned out to have purchased a package of paper wrapped in black tape.
Earlier this week, it was reported another Spartanburg woman in the parking lot of a restaurant had paid $180 for an iPad that turned out to be a painted block of wood
In the latest case, the women were approached by a man who said he had received laptops in shipping boxes at discounted prices. When the women got home, they found they had a power cord and a stack of paper wrapped in black tape.
No arrests have been made.
