Arrangements are being made to provide Police Reports for those who anticipate to work overseas through Short Message Service.
The Service will be facilitated jointly by the Government Information Centre and the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka. Inspector General of Police N.K. Ilangakoon explained the process at a media briefing today.
He said that due to this facility the applicants need not call the Police Headquarters or other Police Officers. If the application is being processed it will be informed. If the investigations are completed that will be conveyed. It will also be informed if the certificate has been issued. He said that this measure has been taken for the convenience of the public.
