Man arrested in apartment complex break-in

A 19-year-old Columbia is in jail after his arrest on charges of burglary related to a break-in at an Irmo apartment complex.
Sterling Emmanuel Joyner, 19, of Frost Avenue, was charged with second-degree burglary following his arrest Wednesday as he was running along a St. Andrews Road sidewalk . A second man with Joyner escaped arrest.
Around 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department received a report that two men had broken into the maintenance room and office at Landmark Apartments. A responding deputy saw two men running down the sidewalk and one of them, Joyner, was arrested. Witnesses said Joyner was one of the men who broken into the apartment complex.
