“Lifestyles of Jaffna” is an exhibition that is planned for at the Arts Faculty of the Jaffna University.
The Exhibition is a joint effort by the History Division of the Jaffna University and the Kalaikeshari Solidarity Organisation. A news briefing was organized in Colombo to give details of the Exhibition which is scheduled to begin on the 24th of this month and continue for four days.
On display will be photographs of Clothing, Houses and buildings, statues of Hindu Kovils, fishing gear used in the ancient fishing industry and various productions made from the Palmyrah tree. Photographs of school gear, educational buildings, books and musical instruments will also be on display at this exhibition.
In addition a series of seminars is planned in parallel to the Exhibition. These will be addressed by lecturers from Indian Universities. The media briefing was attended by Professor P. Pushparatnam, S. Pathmanathan and N. Gnanakumaran.
