The UNP says the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) was being managed by a Commissioner appointed by the governing UPFA and criticism leveled by the government against the CMC’s current activities therefore would be a self-criticism.
UNP parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara told a press conference that UPFA mayoral candidate to the CMC Milinda Moragoda needed to remember that it was a UPFA Commissioner who is currently managing the CMC.
Bandara also queried the services rendered by Moragoda for the betterment of the people inColomboas a member of parliament, a Cabinet minister and a Presidential advisor, all posts held by him for a period of about 10 years.
He added that even the Pathfinders organization set up by Moragoda had not rendered any service to the people.
He called on Moragoda to reveal information about Pathfinders including the board of directors, their salary structures, the country funding the organization and how the funds have been utilized.
