Geoff Marsh is Sri Lanka’s new National head coach. The announcement has been made by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Marsh is a former Australian Cricketer who has played 50 tests and 119 ODI’s for his country.
He was a member of the victorious World Cup winning team of 1987. He is an Australian Level 3 qualified coach and had coached the Australian team from 1995 to 1999 including the World Cup winning team of 1999.

Subsequently, he was coach of the Zimbabwe national team from 2000 to 2004. He has also been a National Selector of the Australian team. With his vast coaching and playing experience at the highest levels, Sri Lanka Cricket is confident that he would be an ideal choice for the post of Sri Lanka national team head coach.

He is slated to assume duties on the 27th of this month on a two-year contract.
