We've added 1,045 records of health inspections for restaurants, bars, cafeterias and other eateries in Kershaw, Lexington and Richland counties.
The inspections were carried out between May 2 and Sept. 23 by Department of Health and Environmental Control inspectors.
One hundred thirteen area establishments in that period earned exceptional scores between 98 and 100 on unannounced, routine inspections.
Seventy-six received B-level scores between 78 and 87 on their routine inspections and 27 earned Cs with scores between 58 and 77. All those establishments had or will have the opportunity to improve marks with follow-up inspections.
The eatery with the lowest routine inspection score was JS Concession, 6882 Garners Ferry Road, which received the 58 after an Aug. 29 inspection. The facility had a follow-up inspection Sept. 9 that earned a perfect score of 100 and an "A" posting.
