Who is the super king in Team Chennai? According to insiders, it’s not MSDhoni but a soothsayer, named Vastu Venkateshan!
If you think it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s brilliant captaincy that steered Chennai into the Indian Premier League final against Mumbai, think again. Informed sources reveal, Dhoni is just following "orders" provided by an astrologer in the good books of the team’s boss, N. Srinivasan.
The decision to open the bowling attack with spinner R Ashwin, the idea to drop the world’s best off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and the in-form South African allrounder Albie Morkel were apparently decisions made by Vastu Venkateshan. He is an astrologer on the payrolls of India Cements, the principal owners of the Chennai team.
Team sources reveal, Venkateshan enjoys immense powers, even to the extent that he tells Dhoni which eleven players will play a particular game. Venkateshan’s cricketing credentials are not known, but he could even ‘order’ the batting line-up for one of India’s most successful captains.
