At 10 a.m., the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations will hear testimony about Wall Street and the financial crisis, including from Goldman Sachs executives.
At 2 p.m., the Health, Education, Labor and Pension committee holds a mine safety hearing titled "Putting Safety First: Strengthening Enforcement and Creating a Culture of Compliance at Mines and Other Dangerous Workplaces." This hearing follows the mine disaster in West Virginia that killed 29 people.
At 5:35 p.m., President Barack Obama holds a town hall meeting at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.
